Tanner’s Pets of the Week
This sweet, shy dog is easy to leash up, likes to go for walks once she gets to know you, and is engaging when allowed to take her time. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and very responsive to their body language. Friendly and sensitive by nature, this gentle girl was understandably shaken when her long0time owners had to give her up through no fault of her own. She tried to go back out with them when they left and she is now seeing a new family to reassure her that she will not be left alone again.
In the meantime, she still keeps her head down and tenses when meeting new people but softens when cajoled and spoken to gently. She will do best in a home with owners who are committed to positive reinforcement, force-free guidance, and letting her go at her own pace. Come meet Foxy if you think you might be the one to provide a kind, loving home for this devoted dog. Should you decide to adopt her, you will be rewarded with the kind of deep gratitude that only a dog who has lost so much can give. Home is Where the Heart is: when adopters donate to our spay/neuter fund the adoption fees are waived.
Teeter is eager to meet you! She is a very sweet, 12 year old senior citizen who loves to play. She’ll play with paper, with toys, she’ll play with you and will definitely liven up the party. She’s a petite 8 pound domestic shorthair who has plenty of spunk and will be a wonderful playmate for years to come. It won’t take her long to get comfortable in her new surroundings and will quickly shower you with purrs, head-butts and plenty of lap time. So don’t let her age fool you, Teeter will be a devoted companion and you won’t find a better feline to spend many years being the best of friends.
