Tanner’s Pets of the Week
Sadie recently had puppies and is a bit on the thin side at 36 pounds. She arrived at the shelter the end of November and since then has gradually opened up to become friendlier and less stressed. She loves to be petted and enjoys sweet talk from her handlers; she’ll put her head on your lap. Sadie appears to have had a rough life which may account for some of the skin issues but in spite of this she is friendly and engaging, she is eager for attention, is easy to leash up but a little cautious when she walks until she gets to know you. She did very well in a play group and would benefit from slow introduction to other dogs. Sadie is heartworm positive which makes her eligible for our Pit Pass II program which means that if you adopted her you will receive a $200 voucher to get her heartworms treated, and she will be given a leash and collar set and a kong toy. All adoption fees are waived except for the $10 CMPD mandatory pet licensing fee. Sadie is an endearing young lady that would love to be in her own home receiving the much deserved TLC from her own special family.
When it comes to relationships, I’m very level-headed. I don’t leap in paws first, if you know what I mean. But give me a little time, and then I’ll shower you with purrs, head-butts, and plenty of lap time. In the meantime, you may not see a lot of me but I’ll be thinking a lot of you!
