Do You Have One Of These Weird, Real Phobias?
We all know about the common phobias. Claustrophobia, for example, where you’re afraid of tight spaces, or arachnophobia where you fear spiders. But did you know there are a ton of other real phobias that are pretty weird? They get pretty specific. Do you have any of them?
Lutraphobia Fear of otters
Anthophobia Fear of flowers
Spectrophobia: Fear of looking at your own reflection in a mirror
Gelotophobia: Fear of being laughed at
Brontophobia: Fear of thunder and lightening
Macrophobia: Fear of long waits
Deipnophobia: Fear of dinner parties
Allodoxaphobia: Fear of opinions (this may have been induced by this election cycle)
Scriptophobia: Fear of writing in public
Anuptaphobia: Fear of being single
Dextrophobia: Fear of things to your right
Chirophobia: Fear of hands
So those are a little more obscure. If you’re wondering about the most common phobias, check out the top 10! I’m at least 5 out of 10, how many do you have?
