I had visions of many of my friends with small kids last night. Guys (Dads) sitting in front of the TV watching the Alabama vs. Clemson National Title Game when all of the sudden the new teaser trailer for “Cars 3” comes on.
For the next 30 minutes he’s having to soothe kids who are crying at the thought of “Lightening McQueen” crashing on the track. <g>
All “Cars” and “Cars 2” have done is bring in more than a billion dollars in revenue worldwide, so “Cars 3” was a question of when, not if.
So, get ready for June 16th when the gang is back together again. Here’s the official studio synopsis:
“Cars 3 begins when, blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician, Cruz Ramirez, with her own plan to win, plus inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage!
Cars 3 also features the return of Larry the Cable Guy as Mater, Bonnie Hunt as Sally Carrera, and Cheech Marin as Ramone. There’s also some brand new characters, including Jackson Storm (voiced by Armie Hammer) and Cruz Ramirez (voiced by Cristela Alonzo).”
