Trace Adkins' pinky finger on his left is bent at the last knuckle. Catch that?
He lost while working on an oil rig as a young man and had it reattached at an angle useful for playing guitar. You'd think an experience like that would teach a man to stay away from digit-risking activities, but not Trace. The country crooner appeared recently on Spike's Adam Carolla And Friends Build Stuff Live, a show where the former carpenter-turned-media personality invites his buddies to, well, build stuff live.
The project this time was an outdoor patio, but there's always a little fun thrown in. Carolla wrangled Trace to try his hand at "Screw Adam," the ongoing feature in which participants are given a powered screwdriver and directed to screw a big picture of Corolla's face to the wall in the fastest time possible.
Trace was competing with past guests including Jimmy Kimmel, who happened to be the all-time leader in the kooky competition, and a few other "big city" types. "I'm actually nervous," Trace admitted as he waited to see if he beat the city slickers who'd preceded him. "I might have to turn in my man card."
Or not. See how the "Watered Down" singer fared below.
