At 50 years old, Troy Gentry of Montgomery Gentry has been killed in a helicopter crash.
According to TMZ, the helicopter crashed in a field around 1PM, and at this time, we're uncertain if Eddie Montgomery was also onboard, but as of right now, he's still presumed alive, given that the Montgomery Gentry Twitter account has not stated otherwise.
Considered veterans in their field, Montgomery Gentry have been around for a very long time, and have had chart topping hits like "Something To Be Proud Of," as well as "If You Stop Loving Me."
Troy was married with 2 children in which are still living, and the duo was supposed to be performing a concert this evening at Flying W Airport and Resort.
The story is still developing as to what else has occurred, but it's another unfortunate loss in the entertainment community.
We will keep you updated as information comes to light.
