Okay, comic book geeks, this is the one for you.

So far, really (with the exception of the upcoming "Black Panther"), both DC and Marvel Comics have stuck to the major players when it comes to extrapolating their superheroes from page to the big screen.

In other words, you haven't seen a movie come out that the majority of people said, "Who's that?!"

That's about to change in October when "Venom" comes out.

It's WAYYYYY to hard to explain who/what "Venom" is other than to say, picture a VERY dark, anti-hero version of Spider-man. Unfortunately, this first teaser trailer doesn't really do a better job, but it does whet the fan geek whistle.

"Venom" stars Tom Hardy (pictured above) as Eddie Brock/the host for Venom. Joining him are Michelle Williams (The Greatest Showman), Riz Ahmed (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Jenny Slate (Zootopia) and Woody Harrelson (the Hunger Games franchise, True Detective).
