We were talking the other day about Sylvester Stallone beginning production on Rambo 5.
I love Rambo. I love Stallone. I can't buy Rambo striking fear in anyone at 71.
Not that Stallone doesn't look AMAZING at 71, it's just a tough sell for me...for THAT character. This one? Not as hard for me to buy into. The first "Escape Plan" had Arnold Schwarzenegger and Stallone-two action ICONS from the 1980s-teaming up for the first time onscreen.
It was just aight.
Apparently Arnold's been kicked to the curb for the sequel. Here's the official synopsis and trailer for "Escape Plan 2: Hades," due in theater in June.
"Ray Breslin (Stallone) manages an elite team of security specialists trained in the art of breaking people out of the world's most impenetrable prisons. When his trusted operative, Shu Ren, is kidnapped and disappears inside the most elaborate prison ever built, Ray assembles an elite team to assist in the rescue."
